Term 3 | 2023

22 September 2023

Welcome to the end of another term at Foci Education. It is yet another HSC season for us and our Year 12 students and, as always, things have been busy. With our Year 12 students now on their way to graduate from Foci Education, this means that more slots during the week are becoming available for other students.Should you wish to have extra lessons per week, please advise either of us and we’d be happy to assist you with booking in extra lessons to support you with learning.

With the HSC right around the corner, this also means that Year 11 students will also be starting their HSC journeys soon in Term 4. To all our Year 11 students, we wish you a productive term and year ahead. Please use the upcoming break to revise all the content we’ve covered this year in preparation for your first term of Year 12. This will be crucial in giving yourself a head start with catching up to speed on the content for Year 12. Other than that, we wish you all a safe and restful break as well.

This term, our students have also managed to score some incredible marks across the term. We’ve had some fantastic marks for our Trial HSC. Congratulations to Cindy Xie for her overall Band 6 finish and our Strathfield Girls High School Team which averaged a high Band 5 across all the modules. In Year 11, a special congratulations to Winson Gao at Trinity Catholic College for topping the Year 11 Standard cohort in his Module A essay and Rebecca Chen (Year 11, Sefton) on their Band 6 results. In our junior years, congratulations to Nikki Pham, Elaine Wang (Yr10, Trinity Catholic College), Lili Zhang, Deniz Zeitoun (Yr 10, Strathfield Girls) and Sally (Yr 10, Bonnyrigg High School) for their A+ results. Congratulations as well to Antheon Gabila (Yr 9, Trinity Catholic College) for his A for his story, as well as Ricky Le Luc (Yr 5, St Johns Park Public) for his perfect performance on the NAPLAN. Well done everyone!

A special congratulations must be given to the Yr 12 Extension 2 class of 2023 who have submitted their projects. For context, the Extension 2 project is a single work done over a year and sits anywhere between 4000 to 6000 words in size. It is a rigorous undertaking that requires grit and incredible determination. Ladies, it was a mad dash until the end but your final pieces are all fantastic! Well done to Cindy Xie, Bella Walker (Fort Street) and Kylie Chan (St. George Girls). We are all so proud and you should be as well! Good luck to the students (and parents) of our Year 12 students as they head into their final HSC exams. The end is just around the corner, we can’t wait to see you all for a graduation dinner on the other side!

This November will also mark our 4th birthday, which means all new students will receive a $100 contribution towards their enrolment for Term 4, 2023 and Term 1, 2024 (Terms and Conditions Apply). Foci Education continues to grow because of our students and their recommendations to friends and family, so thank you to all of you!
